Britannia Park has been owned and operated by Girl Guides Victoria for more than 65 years. It is:
- An accredited campsite of the Camping Association of Victoria.
- A retreat and meeting place for all Guides throughout Australia and the world.
- The central location for all major Guiding events and activities in Victoria.
- The frequent host of national and international Guiding events, gatherings and conferences.

Britannia Park is the heart of the Guiding movement in Victoria. It is a place that Guides can visit to engage in exciting, adventurous activities in the outdoors. Here, girls connect with women who dedicate their lives to challenging, empowering and educating girls to achieve their maximum potential.
Camping is a pivotal part of the Guiding Program. The experience gives girls the opportunity to participate in adventurous outdoor activities with the support and encouragement of their peers in a non-threatening environment.
Through camping, Guides contribute to the protection of the natural environment.
