Art Camp was great!
We had a fantastic time and were all suitably exhausted but it was well worth the effort. The weather tested the flexibility of the program however we managed to deliver all of the activities.

The excursion to the McClelland Sculpture Park and Gordon Glass Studio was great and the girls particularly enjoyed seeing glass art being blown live in the studio.

The girls had many suggestions for future camp themes and provided excellent feedback to help us to continue the programs.

At Art Camp we achieved our first sustainability goal by focusing on food waste and paper and cardboard recycling. Kitchen food waste was collected (and fed to one of the Leader’s chickens!)

It has been reported that the chickens have become grain snobs as they got quite used to fresh camp scraps! One medium sized tub of paper and cardboard waste was generated for the entire camp and this was a very good start for the waste management plan for all school holiday programs.

Well done to all the girls for their fantastic efforts on camp – they have set a high standard!
