JOTA/JOTI will be from 19-21 October 2018. This year, the theme is United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 – Life on Land.
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) is an annual event that occurs on the 3rd weekend in October each year. During this event up to 500,000 Scouts and Girl Guides from all over the world can make contact with each other by means of amateur radio or on the internet.
Girl Guides Victoria would love to be able to share details of when Units, Districts, or Regions across the state are chatting either on the airways or on the internet. Share your details with us by filling out the below online form, and increase the number of people who will want to chat with you!
The Girl Guides Australia website has the updated details on:
- How units can get involved
- The process to register
- Resources and activities
Groups participating in JOTA/JOTI are asked to register online, to ensure they get access to a number of extra features on the web, notably the JamPuz game, JOTI.tv, newsletters, and many more.
Stay tuned for more details of what will be happening around Victoria for JOTA/JOTI! Have you got something great planned? Get in touch, and we can help to publicise your activities on Facebook and below.
On the weekend, don’t forget to post about your experiences on the Girl Guides Victoria Facebook group.
The JOTA/JOTI badge for 2018 will be available for purchase soon from Victorian Guide Supplies.
