Saturday 27 October was a wonderful day of celebration for our 11 newest Queen’s Guides.  Our young leaders were presented with their certificates by Her Excellency, the Honourable Linda Dessau, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard AC at a memorable ceremony on the lawns of Government House.

Nicole Peters and Evelyn O’Meara read the Message of Loyalty to Queen Elizabeth II, in which they spoke of their achievements and optimism for the future, expressed their gratitude to their families and leaders, and pledged their loyalty and respect to our Queen.

The celebrations continued with a lunch at the Yarraville Guide Hall, beautifully catered by the wonderful women of the Queen’s Guide Association.   The guests were treated to an inspiring presentation from Mandhree Elanayake, Queen’s Guide 2016, who showed the girls what it was possible to achieve and where their Queen’s Guide Award could take them.
