Girls Rock 2019 is all about you! We want to reflect on the way that you have empowered girls to do great things. Girls Rock will bring you up-to-date information that you need with new workshops, organisational insight, and resources to launch the new Guiding year so you can continue to make a difference. Celebrate, network, and grow your leadership at Girls Rock 2019.

Who: all GGV adult members and volunteers; inter-state guests; and youth members aged 13-17

$18 for youth members aged 13-17 years
Workshops
To keep Girls Rock REAL (relevant, exciting, accessible, and learner-led), the following workshops are available for all adult participants to choose from:
- Talking it up! What is this thing called Guiding?
- The Power of Mindfulness
- Why won’t they do as they’re told?
- Engaging CALD Communities in Guiding
- The 2 Rs of Volunteering – Recruitment & Retention
- Creating Curiosity – An introduction to STEM
Youth members aged 13-17 are encouraged to attend Girls Rock 2019 to grow their own leadership skills. There are two special workshops just for our youth members:
- Curious about our World Guiding? Connect with a World Centre to chat about issues you care about and learn how to take the lead as agents of change in your community.
- Curious about what’s available for Guides 13+? Curious about the Queen’s Guide Award? Want to become the best ever Junior Leader? This is an opportunity to network and ask questions of other youth members and experienced adults.

Lunchtime stalls
If you are involved in something amazing you think other Girl Guides Victoria volunteers and Leaders will be curious about and can revel in, Girls Rock 2019 is the time to share it! Click here to express your interest in having a stall during lunchtime by 5.00 pm on Monday 21 January 2019. This time frame has been extended by two weeks.
Scholarship available
Thanks to a grant from Gandel Philanthropy, Girl Guides Victoria is able to offer a $200 scholarship to assist 20 members of Girl Guides Victoria attend Girls Rock 2019. If you’ve had difficulties attending Girls Rock in the past for financial reasons, this scholarship is designed to help get you to Girls Rock in 2019!
Girl Guides Victoria would like to acknowledge the support of the Department of Health and Human Services, whose generous grant allows for the lower event price; and NAB who have donated their building as our venue.
