As April hops by and we are excited to start another Guiding term, we would like to share with you some of the great events celebrating the capacity, courage, and commitment to Guiding we attended recently.
Lynne traveled with Amanda Kelly to Traralgon and Morwell, attending Units and catching up with Guiding friends.
Marise joined the team with enthusiasm, enjoying several Thinking Day events including one at Burnet Park.
Marise and Mandy enjoyed birthday cake for a 40th celebration at Narre Warren Guide Hall; and Lynne and Star celebrated extensive hall renovations, history, and Christine Greenwood’s retirement in Maryborough.
Congratulations to Emily, Gillian, and the team of Monash District Guides who put their best feet (or wings?) forward in entering the Moomba Bird Man Rally to raise money for the Monash Children’s hospital. They tested their courage and creativity, with a lot of laughs along the way. Mandy certainly had fun joining your cheer squad so thank you so much for the invite! We were proud to see you all in the media.
On another note, our new badge has arrived! It is only available for one year, so don’t forget to get your invites in or visit us at a State Event. The Sunflower Sleepover is set for 24th August. We hope to see you and have fun playing our State game with you on Skype. More details coming soon!
We look forward to celebrating Anzac Day around Victoria, and a fabulous Snoozefest at Luna Park. We hope you are all enjoying getting out and about enjoying all that Guiding in Victoria and beyond has to offer. Don’t forget to check the State Events on the GGV website to see what you and your Guides can get into locally and globally.
Lynne, Star, Mandy, and Marise
