Quick Links is your one-stop shop for all the latest administrative updates that Leaders and Managers need to know. It will be sent out at the start of each term to Leaders and Managers.


Training Summaries

District and Region Managers can now view all Qualifications for members in their area through the Member Portal.

1. Log into the GGV Member Portal
2. Go to Reports and Forms
3. Click Reporting Packages
4. Choose District or Region Reports
5. Under ‘View Qualifications’, there is a report named ‘Training Summary’


Role Reviews

District Managers –¬†it’s time to catch up with the Unit Leaders in your local area for a role review (also known as an ‘appraisal’). Check out Guidelines¬†for more details, including a template to guide the conversation.

Once completed, fill in this form and email it to our Volunteer Support Officer by the end of 2019.


Volunteer Checks for Occasional Helpers

Do you¬†have occasional volunteers¬†who help out at your Unit?¬†Occasional Helpers require¬†different volunteer checks, depending on the support they’re giving.¬†This new resource explains which volunteer checks your Occasional Helpers need.¬†


Welcome to Girl Guides Brochure

Looking to advertise your Guide Unit? The Welcome to Girl Guides brochure allows you to enter your specific information about your Unit before giving it out!

Centralised Fees

After a successful trial period with one-third of our Victorian Districts, all Districts will start using Centralised fees from Term 1 2020. This means that parents/guardians¬†will make one payment to cover girls’ Unit and Membership fees.¬† Have questions?¬† Check out our website for more information.


Celebrate! Event

On the 9th of November 2019, GGV will be celebrating members who have received awards from September 2018 to August 2019. Visit the GGV website to get more information on the Celebrate! event.

Starting a Guiding social media account

Starting a Guiding social media account is a great way to promote Guiding in your area. GGV has important guidelines, Child Safe information, and social media marketing advice that Admins need to know. The steps you need to take are now online here. 


How to access Vistaprint

The GGV¬†Vistaprint account lets District and Region Managers purchase GGV’s PR materials online. The GGV Vistaprint instructions, guidelines, and login details were emailed to all DMs and RMs in 2018. Contact the GGV Communications Officer to get this information emailed to you again.

IMPORTANT NOTE–> the Vistaprint instructions contain our password and username. The instructions can be emailed to people again if they need them, but must not be posted on Facebook or on¬†the website, including in the member login section.

Girl Guides Victoria is committed to celebrating and promoting inclusion in communities around Victoria. We have a range of resources about Girl Guides translated into other languages that can be used to assist individuals in your area.

The¬†GGV Healthy Eating Policy recognises and values the importance of ‘healthy choices’ in promoting overall health and wellbeing. We are committed to creating a ‘health promoting’ environment which supports and encourages youth and adult members, staff, and volunteers to make healthy food and drink choices when participating in GGV activities.
