2020 WAGGGS Advocacy Champions

An opportunity is available for young women between the ages of 18 and 30 years to apply for the 2020 WAGGGS Advocacy Champions network.

Advocacy Champions will be selected by WAGGGS for their commitment to gender equality, their involvement in Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting and their ability to lead, challenge and create a ripple effect.

Advocacy Champions have exciting opportunities for personal growth and development and will represent WAGGGS at external events, including the 64th Commission on the Status of Women. This is a unique opportunity for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to advocate for the rights of girls and young women and champion gender equality at a local, national and international level.

64TH COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and the advancement of women. Every year, representatives of UN Member States gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. WAGGGS Advocacy Champions will be representing the voices of 10 million girls and young women at CSW64 in March 2020.
