When: This event will take place over four occasions in the next twelve months. Our first event will be Saturday 11 July at 1.30 – 3.40 pm.

Not available on Saturday afternoon? We’d still love you to be involved! Girl Guides unable to attend the first forum can still be involved with pre-forum content and join our mailing list. The first forum will be recorded, and delegates will be able to be involved in choosing suitable dates for future forums.

Format: This event will be delivered through Zoom, with some exciting guests and presentations lined up. From the comfort of your own home, join a select group of Girl Guides to learn new skills and help develop a Girl Guides Advocacy Plan.

Are you a Leader interested in joining the Forum? Leaders can attend as mentors and supervisors, helping to facilitate discussion and encourage participants to share and develop their ideas.

Guest Speakers: We are incredibly fortunate to have Australian Country Director of Global Citizen, Sarah Meredith starting off the event. She will be talking about the importance of youth-led advocacy movements and how you can find ways to be the voice for change.

A little bit about Global Citizen: Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. On our platform, Global Citizen, learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, take action on those issues, and earn rewards for their actions as part of a global community committed to lasting change.
