Our Annual Girl Guides Victoria State Gathering, Camp Together 2022, was held at the Britannia Park Campsite in the Yarra Valley from 9-12 April 2022.
Over 500 Girl Guides, Leaders and volunteers from across the state made the journey for a fun and exciting weekend of camping, adventures and activities, making friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
It was incredible to see Victorian Girl Guides of all ages be able come back together on the same site for a state camp for the first time since February 2020, and our Guides certainly made the most of every minute!
The camp site was a hive of activity, from sing-alongs, to robot soccer, to circus activities, to Girl Guides getting messy and creative with craft activities and wood working projects!
Camp highlights included an outdoor dance party and Opening Ceremony, and a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ experience on the Monday offering a range of activities for Girl Guides to choose from, including canoeing, low ropes, the possum flyer, theatre sports, photography, caving and STEM activities.
With the generous support of our friends from the Australian Red Cross, Victoria Police and Fire Rescue Victoria, our Girl Guides were given some great practical lessons and tips in being prepared, and learning about career pathways for women in the emergency and support services.
A big thank you to our all our Leaders, volunteers, campers and supporters for making Camp Together such a fantastic event. We can’t wait to do it all again soon!
