Guide achievements celebrated at Government House

Our most recent Queen’s Guide and Olave-Baden Powell Award recipients were celebrated in a very special ceremony at Government House on 1 April 2023.

Girl Guides and their families joined Scouts from across Victoria for the special occasion at the invitation of the Honourable Linda Dessau AC CVO, Governor of Victoria and President of Girl Guides Victoria, and her husband Mr Anthony Howard AM KC.

The cool, rainy Autum Melbourne weather couldn’t dampen the spirits as the ceremony unfolded on the prestigious Government House lawn.

This year, 14 Queen’s Guide Awards were presented. The Queen’s Guide Award is the peak achievement award for Youth Members of Girl Guides Australia.

Two Olave Baden-Powell Awards were presented. The Olave Baden-Powell Award is the peak achievement for Olave Members aged 18-29.
