Girl Guides Australia (GGA) is seeking nominations for new forum participants, for their Young Women’s Forum.
Girl Guides Victoria (along with every other SGGO) is invited to nominate up to four candidates for consideration to join the forum.
About the GGA Young Women’s Forum
The GGA Young Women’s Forum is a consultative and reference group that provides input, feedback and guidance for GGA on decision-making nationally – and provides participants with opportunities for further skill development.
The Forum meets several times a year, is chaired by the Assistant Chief Commissioner (Young Women) and consists of a network of young women aged between 16 and 30 years, who seek to amplify the voices of girls and young women.
Who to nominate
As an SGGO, Girl Guides Victoria is encouraged to consider diversity and the nominee’s relevant experience. GGA is seeking active Guiding members, who are enthusiastic about sharing their perspective and can work collaboratively to make a difference.
The Forum has vacancies for up to four participants, with at least one participant from each SGGO, where practicable. Ideally, some continuing participants who have been re-nominated will continue their term for a further year. An interview process may take place as required.
How to nominate
Would you like to nominate for the Forum? Please fill out this application form and email it to Girl Guides Victoria at support@guidesvic.org.au by 18th of July.
