How do I pre-purchase my Beanie?
When completing your Snoozefest Registration, be sure to click the blue ‘ADD’ button. You will then see a yellow ‘In Itinerary’ button. This denotes your item has been added. The checkout total will reflect the added item. You can only pre-purchase 1 Beanie.
Can I pre-order and pick-up at Snoozefest?
Yes, absolutely! To pick up your order at Snoozefest, upon checkout, in the ‘Special Instructions for Seller’ box, type ‘Pick up at Snoozefest – by JANE CITIZEN’
I hear the GGV pop-up shop is comng to Snoozefest. What might be available?
The Snoozefest 2023 Beanie’s will be on sale, and other items might include torches, swap badges, drink bottles, mugs, cosmetic bags, toiletries and Jamboree 2023 Mascot ‘Pebbles’.

Cash and card functions will be available.

Can I buy tickets for Gumbuya World for the following day?
Yes! Once you have registered for Snoozefest, you will receive a link within 7 days to purchase your 50% discounted tickets.

This is a purchase directly through Gumbuya and their ticketing policies apply.
Please do not share this link with friends, family or non-Snoozefest attendees.

What do I need to bring?
Please refer to the Kit list on page 11 of the Event Information Booklet. For sleeping requirements, please refer to page 10 of the Event Information Booklet.

Make sure all your belongings are clearly labelled.

Are there some things/rides my Guide won't be able to do at Snoozefest?
Yes. Gumbuya’s operational requirements are applicable to all users. Some rides have age and/or height requirements, and thus if your child does not meet these requirements, they will not be allowed to participate in that particular ride.

The Waterpark will not be in operation for Snoozefest.

Do I need to buy a Swag?
It is not required that you purchase a swag specifically for this event. If your child has access to a swag that they are able to carry and bring to Snoozefest, they are encouraged to bring it. Our preference is not to peg out sleeping equipment, reducing potential impact to the environment. Test your swag before Snoozefest to ensure that it is usable without pegging. Please see page 10 of the Event Information Booklet for a breakdown of what is comprised in a Bedroll.
Can my Guide bring their phone with them?
Girl Guides Victoria strongly encourages Guides and Guardians to think about whether devices are needed for this event, and acknowledge that GGV cannot take responsibility for their safekeeping.
If Guides do have electronic devices, Girl Guides Victoria recommends the following:
• When participating in activities, phones are put away
• Cameras are not used in tents
• Permission is always sought from others before photos are taken
• All posts are made with respect to our Guide Promise to “respect myself and others”
• Remember that all common social media platforms require participants to be 13 years of age.

Event photographers will be posting to #guidesvic and #snoozefest with the above guidelines in mind. Guides can also share photos so that we can follow all the fun! In light of today’s ubiquitous availability of cameras and social media choices, Girl Guides Victoria cannot monitor and are not liable for any photos youth share. If you have any questions regarding this, or if there are specific legal issues regarding custody or safety with respect to photos, please contact communications@guidesvic.org.au

Is Gumbuya World wheelchair friendly?
All public areas of the park are wheelchair accessible. Some assistance may be needed in limited sections of a very small number of paths. For further details https://gumbuya.com.au/accessibility/
What happens if we have bad weather?
This is an outdoor event, and the plan is for Guides to sleep outside. We will keep an eye on the weather, in the lead up to the event. In the event we cannot go ahead due to extreme bad weather, we will communicate this via text message and our social media channels. If it rains heavily during the event, there are some limited indoor areas for Guides to sleep.
