Round Seven of the Victorian Government’s Get Active Kids Voucher Program has now closed (12/12/2023).

The Get Active Kids Voucher program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and active recreation activities like Girl Guides by providing financial support for the cost of membership. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each, which can be put toward Guiding membership fees.

The Program encourages kids to re-engage or to participate for the first time in new activities by reducing the cost of participation which can be a significant barrier to participation.

Girl Guides Victoria is a registered activity provider, and all Girl Guide Victoria Units will be able to participate under the single Girl Guides Victoria ABN.

That means Girl Guides Victoria will be able to accept vouchers of up to $200 to support eligible families in all Girl Guide units right across Victoria to put toward membership fees.

Applications for Round 7 of the Program opened on 10 October, and will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday 12 December.

How do I know if I am eligible?

To be eligible for a voucher or reimbursement, children (0-18) must be Victorian residents, and be named in a valid and issued Australian Government Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and named on a valid Medicare card.

Families/guardians can apply for multiple children but must apply separately for each child. You can claim one voucher per eligible child in round 6.

Additionally, special consideration also applies for children residing in care services as well as temporary or provisional visa holders, undocumented migrants or international students. Please refer to the Program Guidelines on the Get Active Victoria website for more information.

How do I apply for a voucher or reimbursement?

Applications can be made online on the Get Active Victoria Voucher webpage.

Applications opened on 10 October 2023 and remain open until allocation exhausted.

When selecting your activity provider, please select Girl Guides Victoria.

Families can apply for reimbursement for eligible expenditure from 8 May 2023 until allocation exhausted.

Round 7 vouchers will expire Tuesday 30 April 2024.

How do I use my voucher?

Once you’ve got your unique voucher code, simply enter the voucher code when renewing your Girl Guides Membership online through your Member Login or the link in the renewal email.
