Girl Guides Policy and Procedures Committee


About Us:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Policy and Procedures Committee at Girl Guides Victoria a leading organisation empowering young girls and women to reach their full potential. As a volunteer committee member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the policies and procedures that guide our organisation’s mission and activities.



  • Collaborate with committee members to review and update existing policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Research industry best practices and make recommendations for improvements
  • Attend regular committee meetings and actively contribute to discussions
  • Provide input on policy development, ensuring alignment with Girl Guides’ values and goals
  • Reports to the Executive Committee (Board)



  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyse complex information
  • Prior experience in policy development or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Prior experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents (preferred but not required)


  • Attend monthly committee meetings (typically held in the evenings)
  • Dedicate approximately 3 hours per month for committee work and related tasks
  • Minimum commitment of 1 year, with the possibility of extension
