Mollie, a Girl Guides Victoria volunteer and Adult member, recently spent an incredible season at Our Chalet, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts’ World Centre in Switzerland.
Mollie’s journey at Our Chalet began on December 1, 2022, and during her time there, she embraced a variety of new challenges and experiences. From trying out snowshoeing, skiing, and sledging, to conquering her fear of heights through bouldering, Mollie well and truly pushed herself beyond her comfort zone, and thrived while doing so! As the programme intern at Our Chalet, she also delivered many activities for Guiding and Scouting communities from all over the world — with a particularly memorable highlight being her time teaching Girl Scouts how to play Eisstock, a Swiss ice sport.
Mollie’s experience was enriched by the friendships she formed with fellow volunteers from around the world, including her roommate from Argentina. These bonds have become lifelong connections for Mollie, and she’s excited to reconnect with her new friends and their Guide groups globally.
BRAVO, Mollie, on making the most of your time at Our Chalet!
