We are SO excited to reveal our delightful chosen design for our Winter 2024 badge, designed by Ivy, a Victorian Guide from the GO GIRLS online Guiding unit!
The second addition to our Seasonal Badge Collection, this exceptionally detailed badge beautifully captures the wonder of Winter in Australia and the fun and friendship that comes with Guiding—rain, hail or shine!

“I thought [having a go at designing the badge] would be an interesting experience, and I hadn’t entered anything like this before,” Ivy told us.
“Guides and art are the two things that stick with me through my young life and this felt like a chance for them to meet.”
This achievement is particularly special for Ivy, who has faced several creative rejections over recent months.
“I was pretty excited that the badge was selected, since I have been facing a fair bit of disappointment with entering in different art experiences this year,” she said.
Persevering through these rejections and emerging with this wonderful piece of art really does make Ivy’s success all the more sweeter. With a bit of patience and persistence, amazing artistic breakthroughs can happen!
