Over 120 Girl Guides gathered at Twisted Science in Moorabbin on Saturday June 1, bedrolls and sleeping bags in hand, for a full evening of fun, learning, and exploration.
These Guides, no older than 10 years of age, were eagerly awaiting the 2024 edition of Snoozerella, our annual sleepover for Guides aged 5-10. And Snoozerella 2024—in large part due to the stellar team and incredible exhibits and experiences at Twisted Science, as well as our wonderful Leaders and volunteers—well and truly delivered!
Throughout the evening, Guides participated in a variety of science-based activities and experiments. From measuring, mixing and creating slime, meeting insects, and enjoying a fully-immersive 360-degree film about Earth in a portable planetarium, to making things move and marvelling at the magic of motion in the process, Snoozerella was a whirlwind of discovery and delight.
A big thank you to our volunteers for volunteering their time on the Saturday and Sunday and making Snoozerella 2024 a reality, to Twisted Science for their outstanding support and exceptional venue, and to all our Guides who made Snoozerella so incredibly stellar!
Snoozerella is our dedicated annual state-wide sleepover for younger Guides aged 5-10 years old. Our annual state sleepover for Guides aged 10-17, Snoozefest, is taking place at Luna Park on Saturday August 24 – register here, but be quick—spots are getting snapped up fast!
