Girl Guides Victoria once again made a splash at the Moomba Festival Birdman Rally on Sunday 9 March, as Pilot Polly fearlessly took to the skies for a worthy cause!
Polly, a Bendigo Olave and the 2025 Greater Bendigo Young Citizen of the Year, embraced the challenge with courage, creativity, and a whole lot of Guiding spirit as she launched off the iconic Birdman platform in support of Days for Girls Australia. With a dedicated crew behind her and a crowd of enthusiastic supporters cheering her on, Polly’s flight was a spectacular show of determination and community spirit.
A huge shout-out to Polly and her incredible team for their hard work designing and building her craft, rallying support for Days for Girls, and leading the charge on the big day! Days for Girls provides sustainable menstrual products and vital health education to girls worldwide—an essential cause that aligns perfectly with our mission of empowering girls and young women.
