Chair, Finance and Risk Committee (Volunteer)

ABOUT US

At Girl Guides Victoria (GGV), we empower girls and young women to thrive. For more than 100 years, Guiding has created opportunities for girls to discover who they are, develop confidence and leadership, and feel a strong sense of belonging. Today, GGV is a progressive, secular and volunteer-led organisation, supported by around 1,000 volunteers across Victoria.

ABOUT THE ROLE

GGV is seeking an experienced senior financial and governance leader to join us as Chair of the Finance & Risk Committee (FRC). We are looking for someone who can bring sound judgement, strategic thinking and respectful challenge to complex decisions.

Reporting to the Board, this influential voluntary leadership role provides independent oversight of GGV’s financial sustainability, financial reporting, audit, enterprise risk and asset stewardship. The Chair also oversees the Alternate Revenue and Property Strategy Subcommittees, helping ensure financial, property and revenue decisions support GGV’s long-term sustainability.

This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to an organisation with a proud history while helping shape a strong and sustainable future for the next generation of girls and young women.
