5. Entries can be hand drawn, painted or created digitally.
6. Entrants are responsible for any and all expenses that they incur in entering the competition, e.g.: materials to create and/or photograph and format artwork competition.
7. By entering the competition, you give all rights to Girl Guides Victoria to utilise your entry on their social media channels and website for promotional purposes. The winning entrant/s agree/s that Girl Guides Victoria is allowed to use their design on the 2025 Girl Guides Victoria Moomba Festival Birdman Rally flying craft free of charge. The entrant must warrant that they have all necessary rights to provide this intellectual property to Girl Guides Victoria and consent to any act or omission which would otherwise constitute an infringement of their intellectual property.
8. Girl Guides Victoria reserves the right to disqualify any entrants or entries where we reasonably suspect any unlawful or improper conduct, such as infringing on a third party’s intellectual property rights, or breach of the competition terms and conditions.
9. The winning designer will have a copy of their design realised and placed onto the Girl Guides Victoria Moomba Festival Birdman Rally 2025 flying craft, which will be flown on 9 March at Birrarung Marr in the city of Melbourne.
10. Entries will be judged on the ability to communicate the theme of ‘seize the day’, creativity and originality; and the ability of the design to translate well onto a flying craft.
11. The decision of the judges is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. The winning artist/s may be credited for their design on social media and our website using their first name, Unit and age (or a combination thereof).
