Thank you for investing in the future of girls and young women

Girl Guides Victoria has been helping girls discover their potential since 1910. We are seeking donations to Girl Guides Victoria to help us to continue to provide girls and young women with opportunities to carry on this journey of discovery.

Our Annual Gift Program was reintroduced in 2005. As membership fees cover less than half the costs to operate Girl Guides, we are reliant on the generosity from our members, supporters and the wider community to raise funds to support our girls and volunteers, and maintain our environment.

Offering girls place to explore their potential and to connect with their community is a core part of the Guiding experience.

Thank you for your support.

All donations over $2.00 to Girl Guides Victoria are tax deductible.

Success stories

Tiana’s journey to Australia was long and difficult. She had experienced trauma and lacked self esteem and struggled to connect with her peers. Being part of Girl Guides helped Tiana find her identity in a new country and gave her the confidence to develop friendships and explore the possibilities now available for her to grow her potential. Tiana’s new confidence saw her take on a leadership position, supporting her peers at school. She is grateful for the new skills that Guides enabled her to develop and is excited for her future. Girl Guides is a global sisterhood of like-minded girls from all backgrounds, cultures and circumstances.

Sarah came from a family of all boys and struggled to make friends with girls at school. Being part of Girl Guides enabled Sarah to broaden her social circle and find new friends with similar interests. Her family are grateful for Sarah’s new found confidence and this has had a ripple effect on her whole life both at school and at home. Girl Guides provides an all girls environment where girls support each other to be their very best.

Megan lives in a farming community in rural Victoria. She travels long distances to go to school as the family farm is a long way out of town. Megan connects with girls just like her, once a week at the local Guides meeting where they contribute to community projects and develop friendships while enjoying fun activities together. Being part of Guides has increased Megan’s feeling of social connection and self esteem by knowing she is helping to make a difference to her community. Girl Guides provides girls with opportunities to explore a world of possibilities.
