This campsite is nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, and is surrounded by peaceful bush and farmland, yet is located only 15 minutes from the centres of Traralgon and Morwell.
The site was donated to the Guiding Movement by the Burnet family over 50 years ago, and is now used extensively by Guides and the wider community for camping and outdoor recreation. The site and main accommodation building have recently been extensively redeveloped, with further work planned for the future. A new camp storage facility and under-cover camp kitchen area, and has recently been completed.

A COVID-19 Safe campsite
A fully-detailed Covid-19 Safety Plan has been prepared, and extensive work carried out, to enable Burnet Park to safely re-open for camping and day activities from 1st February 2021. Whilst indoor sleeping accommodation will be restricted initially to a maximum of 20 persons, the outdoor areas will be able to accommodate a much larger group for camping and activities, depending on hirer’s needs and tent arrangements etc. The camping area is able to easily accommodate 2 x 10-person sub-camps in “Covid” mode. Hirers will have exclusive use of the campsite and will not be sharing the facilities with any other group.
