Girl Guides Victoria Leaders & Volunteers are invited to participate on a workshop focused on creating inclusive LGBTQIA+ learning environments hosted by champions for LGBTQIA+ youth Minus18.
Explore LGBTQIA+ identity, the barriers young people face in everyday life, and be empowered with the tools to become inclusive leaders and mentors.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Key concepts and definitions of sex, gender, and sexuality.
- Evidence based barriers LGBTQIA+ young people face at school and home.
- Practical tools to support LGBTQIA+ Girl Guides and Volunteers at Unit Meetings and beyond.
- LGBTQIA+ lived-experiences via expert workshop presenters as they talk about their personal journeys being LGBTQIA+.
There are two opportunities to attend this 90-minute workshop for Girl Guides Victoria Leaders & Managers, which is available for free thanks to a successful grant from the Pride Events & Festivals Fund.
