Volunteer Opportunity: Finance and Risk Committee Members

Are you seeking a way to contribute to the empowerment of young women by utilising your finance and risk skills?

Girl Guides Victoria (GGV) has a mission to empower girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. Our ethos encourages girls and young women to develop into confident, self-respecting, and responsible community members.

GGV is part of a global movement of over ten million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts across more than 150 countries.

We are seeking volunteers to be active members of our Finance, Audit & Risk Committee (FARC). As members of the FARC, you can make a significant contribution to enhancing the financial stability of an organisation focused on female empowerment.

The FARC focuses on:
• Financial Performance
• Financial Management
• Financial Strategy
• Investing GGV Funds
• Risk Management
• Organisational Infrastructure (property)

The FARC meets nine times a year and reports to the governing body of GGV.

If you are:
• Passionate about the empowerment of girls and young women
• Have a background in finance and/or risk management
• Or have experience in property management or insurance

Then GGV welcomes your interest in the FARC.
