Girl Guides Soar into the Sky for State Schools’ Relief

A phenomenal team of Girl Guides flew high for their chosen charity State Schools’ Relief at the Moomba Festival Birdman Rally on 10 March.

Powered by teamwork, determination, and our sea of blue-clothed supporters, Pilot Ruth took the famous (and brave!) plunge off the Birdman Rally runway, soaring into the skies and the Yarra River on the hand-crafted Girl Guides Victoria Magical School Bus.

A massive thank you to Ruth and her superstar crew of Guides for their stellar efforts garnering support for State Schools’ Relief, designing and constructing the Magical School Bus, and leading our enthusiastic charge of members and supporters on the day.

Our Guides raised a whopping $4100 for State Schools’ relief, a not-for-profit organisation that supports disadvantaged state school students by providing them with new school uniforms, shoes, and other essential educational resources like hearing devices. BRAVO Guides! You can always count on Girl Guides to soar above expectations and make a meaningful impact within their communities! 👏
