Welcome to Conduct an Expedition Leader Training
Training for Leaders and Managers who are wanting to work towards the Conduct an Expedition Qualification.
If you are keen to expand your skills, to be able to share with your Guides then this training is for you!
WHO | Qualified Unit Leaders, Outdoor Leaders, and Managers.
DATE | Saturday March 23 9:00am – Sunday 24 3:00pm
LOCATION | Tynong North Girl Guide Campsite, Tynong North
Please note that there are no nearby public transport options for this venue. Adequate onsite parking is available.
Accommodation is available on the Friday night from 6pm.
WHAT |
The day will provide training to cover the following:
– Planning an expedition
– Navigation
– Risk Management & Being Safe in the bush
– Menu planning and lightweight cooking
– Equipment selection
– Budgeting
– Campsite Management
– First Aid and hike hygiene
Training will be a full day of hands on experience. Lunch will be cooked by participants on lightweight stoves.
