World of Work: STEM Expo

The World of Work (WOW) STEM Expo is a fantastic FREE EVENT happening in Geelong on Saturday 11 May.

Attendees will explore STEM career pathways, emerging digital technologies, and 21st century employability skills. There will be interactive presentations, fantastic keynote speakers, and STEM activations in robotics, virtual reality, and more!

Hundreds of female high school and tertiary students will engage with industry leaders, uncover the job opportunities of tomorrow, and set goals for their future career.

Who can attend

The WOW STEM Expo is designed for girls studying at high school or tertiary institutes such as university and TAFE. Guides, their parents, and Guiding volunteers are all invited to attend.

Event Overview:

The WOW STEM Expo program has been created for Australian high school girls and early tertiary women. It will equip them to make informed decisions about their individual career pathways.

The expo will feature global speakers from Envato, Culture Amp, Twitter, Airbnb, Atlassian, Foundation for Young Australians, PwC, and UniSuper, plus industry experts and career mentors to help girls explore the new world of work.

Background

The WOW STEM Expo is part of the Geelong Youth Innovation Summit – a weekend of interactive education and career guidance.

It is delivered by girledworld in partnership with the Victorian State Government, the City of Greater Geelong, and Runway HQ Geelong.
